It's TWINS

Not for me, but it is for Sarah and Aaron. They came into town for the week from DC, so I was able to celebrate with Sarah at her baby shower for the double trouble that's coming her way this November. She is one of my few friends that I still keep in close contact with from high school, and a very special friend she is! A bonus for me is that I always see Ashley when Sarah is in town. Though Ash and I both live in Scottsdale, it seems that Sarah is the common force that brings us together.

Sarah is doing great. I loved seeing her family and visiting with everyone. I miss my buddy Tariq, who also lives in DC, but his mom was in attendance and we had a great time with her. There's nothing quite like your good, old friends.

And with that, I've been to four baby showers in the last three weeks. Two of which were for me. I have one weekend off before I'm at it again in full force with three more baby showers before the end of summer, so I'm hoping to pack in equal parts hard work, rest, and play next weekend to get this place ready for the arrival of The Dude. All while trying to not overheat.

What a baby-filled summer this has been. If you were to go back in time about two years and tell my old self what this summer would be like, I probably would have packed my bags right then and planned a three-month-long trip far, far away from here or anywhere with babies. But my current self is thankful to share these memories with good friends and is so excited for the abundance of new life ahead.
