Scooter

At about a week shy of 7 months old, Gavin is not a crawler, but he's scooting around pretty good. I think he wishes he could crawl because he gets really frustrated that he can't move very far on his own. He still doesn't get up on all fours, but he pushes up and kicks his legs around and spins and moves a little bit. Here he is this morning. Notice the not very happy look on his face while he contemplates why he cannot just get up and move around like everyone else. Also, the lighting is pretty poor, so his skin tone does not look very healthy, but rest-assured he's doing just fine.

His little outfit is so soft. I just love it. The trap door is my favorite. It's a Kickee Pants get-up, and it's made of bamboo. At size 12-18 months, it's already kind of a stretch to get it on him, so he'll be wearing it a lot in the coming weeks to make sure we get the full use out of it!

Just for fun, here's a couple of pictures from our 14-miler yesterday. Gavin did great in his bike trailer. He loves, loves, loves being in motion. His helmet is just a little loose, and it's so bulky in the back that it makes it difficult for him to sit comfortably. We strapped it on him backwards at one point to see if that would help, and it did, but before too long the straps were across his face. Any helmet recommendations for a baby?
