I know I had family praying for my strength and sanity this week. Don't get me wrong. I know I'm not the first person to ever be sick while also caring for two sick kids, but for me it was an overwhelming scenario. Weak? I think so, if even just a little bit. But I'm okay with that. Remember the whole strengths and weaknesses thing? Staying sane around crazy kiddos = not my thang. As an afterthought, since caring for this family is my full time job right now, I suppose I should toughen up.
Anyhoo, the prayers worked. My mom, who was particularly busy this week, was able to help. She took Gavin overnight on the first night. Then, as if I was called in to babysit my own kid, I went over to her house to hang out with my boys while she and my dad went to their appointments. At the last minute, my mom's happy hour plans cancelled, and so I said sayonara to Gavin yet again and headed home with Baby Graham for our second consecutive early bedtime. Gavin was happy to stay, too, otherwise I couldn't have done it. On Wednesday, I met my mom and Gavin out in town, and we made a Chick-Fil-a run before heading home. Our afternoon was uneventful, I got both kids down with moderate amounts of crying, and then Dylan texted that he would actually be home that night, one night early. So, he was here to help in the AM, which ROCKS. He flew again on Thursday and made it home again the same afternoon just in time to meet the boys and me at the pediatrician.

We are all on the upswing of our illnesses. (RSV is nasty!!) The doctor even said that Baby Graham was okay after a day of violent coughing that had me seriously worried. Gavin kicked his fever by Monday and was doing much better but had a rough day at Dawn's on Thursday, so we will take it easy this weekend to ensure a full recovery. We came out of our week completely sane and unscathed. Surely, a divine intervention.
Wrapping it up for now, but you bet your bottom dollar I'll be back soon!
