The fact that Graham is approaching 2 solid hours of napping in his crib and here I am actually sitting down with my computer in the middle of the day has me thinking that maybe I should try to stick around the house a little more often. He's portable, and he's the king of car naps, so he tends to clock more than his fair share of miles on most days, but it's probably not the best thing for him. He'll even sit at AJs and listen to a bunch of ladies gab for an hour while he gnaws on chopsticks and straws. He's done it twice and was a perfect angel both times. Anyway, he still smiles a lot, so I think he's faring okay.

He won't sit still, let alone stay in the chair anymore. But he's so old! He's got, like, so many teeth. They just keep on coming. I hope it slows down for a while and then maybe he'll sleep better at night again.

See? So portable.

Hanging out in Uncle Max's boat for a few minutes before we headed out yesterday.

With a smile like that, I'm pretty sure Graham had more fun hanging out with Nonna and Papa on Wednesday than he would have with me!

My mom loves taking Gavin to the dollar store to pick out "goodies." I think the feeling is mutual.

Mr. Portability was happy to go along for the ride.

Hey, whatever it takes to keep him busy so I can eat some lunch. This guy likes to be held a lot when we're at home...

Gavin is still obsessed with Coach Tennis. Swim lesson is like playtime for him.

In terms of everything else, I don't have a lot of material to report. I've been spending my days running around town in gym clothes and covered in post-workout sweat. It's gross, but it's the price one pays for living 100 billion miles outside of town. Dylan and I caught lunch together yesterday, which was nice. But even nicer? Coming home to a CLEAN house. It has me almost wanting to go back to work so that I can pay someone else to clean my house on the regular. I remember feeling like having cleaning people was so nice, but it's SO nice. And you know what else? Our yard got cleaned up and both cars have been recently detailed, and I am just in paradise. I'm trying to soak it all in before bits of granola bar, cracker crumbs, and spilled applesauce take over my life again.

I didn't used to value cleanliness so much. But now that I'm an old lady, I really do like having things a little orderly. Go figure...now that I am surrounded by people that make everything messy and have no time to do anything about it, I decide to care about the appearance of my house. Well, I hear my boss beckoning me from his crib. Happy almost-Friday!
