Our little meatball is now 9 months old, and I'm eagerly awaiting his check-up this week to see where he weighs in and ranks on the charts. It doesn't matter at all, but it seems like he has chunked up significantly in the last couple of months, and I'm curious to see if this really is the case. Maybe it's because he loves food...or maybe it's the formula he's been on for a couple months, but either way his heft is not slowing him down. He's quite the mover and crawls all over the place with one leg tucked under. He pulls up on everything and scoots around and is forcing me to pay close attention to his surroundings.
It's back to the grind tomorrow, and I have high hopes for Graham at daycare...or "baby school" as Gavin calls it. He is still battling a typical childcare runny nose situation, but he seems to be feeling good. Other than that, I don't have much to say. I could go into detail about all the normal things that we've been doing, but it's so run of the mill that I'd even bore myself writing about it. I will mention that we had perhaps the laziest day of 2016 (and maybe even 2015) on Sunday. Gavin stayed in his PJs all day, but I'm addicted to showering so I had to get dressed. It's not the pace I usually subscribe to, but it did feel good! Dylan flew for the day and then came home with Papa Murphy's for us, and it was a great way to close out the weekend. Man, we miss that guy. I didn't think they could squeeze any more flying work out of him between now and the end of October, but today I found out that I was wrong. Anyway, there's a lot of good in our life to celebrate, including the fact that there is a light at the end of this tunnel.

Two thumbs up for being over the hump of haircut meltdowns! |

I love when he sits like Matt Lauer |

We dropped off Graham at daycare on Friday, and then I took G on about 70 different errands with me, including a lunch date at Wildflower. Yum! |

An early morning group hug before sending Dylan off on Sunday morning. |
 |
We went on a walk, and pajama-clad Gavin had to stop every other minute to dump the rocks out of his shoes. Also, it was hot and way too sunny. So, not the best time ever. |
 |
But he didn't seem to mind. |

A project that was the product of our lazy Sunday |
 |
Doing crafts and G will only work with the color blue. His projects are hence lacking flair. |

Cheesy bread lover! |
 |
Graham's not afraid to get in on the mix with truck play. |
 |
I needed like three or four things from Safeway, but our main motivation for stopping was this silly shopping cart. I fear the day that someone else is using it when we arrive. It will be so tragic. |

Practicing for school picture day. |
Our kids go to bed super-early, even by kid standards. Especially when I'm the only one in charge. Same goes for me. We're an early-to-bed, early-to-rise bunch, and bedtime is usually my favorite time of day. And with that, I'll wrap things up around here and catch a show from the comfort of my bed!
