Gavin's Big Adventure

While Dylan and I were out gallivanting half way around the globe, Gavin partook in some adventures of his own. His Nonna and Papa were gracious enough to take him for like five or six nights. That's no easy task, but Nonna is always, always up for the challenge. She has more energy to spend on playing with her grandkids than I ever will, and how fortunate I am for this.

Because it was 100 billion degrees here, the trio headed up to the cabin for the weekend. After a few days in the pines, they came back home. This was okay with Gavin, I'm sure, since he's obsessed with their playroom stocked with trucks, cars, helicopters and planes of every flavor. When we got home, the crew had headed to the swim school to watch Gavin's cousins, so we met them there to scoop up our bundle of joy. He gave me a hug when he saw me and said "Hi Daddy!" in his usual extra-loud volume, but then carried on with playing in the swim school playroom. I don't think it phased him too much that we were gone, and that's exactly what I want to hear. It took a long time, but I think he's becoming a pretty well-adjusted little human.

Swimming at the cabin.

Cars in every corner...even at the cabin.

At the Torreon playground.

Walking the golf course...he rarely looks this happy in photos.

Putting peanuts out for the birds.

Blowing bubbles with Nonna.

Thanks so much, mom and dad...we are so grateful!
