As I round out my last few days in my second trimester, I figure it's time to start really getting ready for this guy. I have just under three months left, and so far I'm still fairly mobile and feeling good. It's really difficult to get out of bed, get comfortable sitting in the car or anywhere else, my belly feels very dense and heavy and my back aches, and I'm still tired a lot. But on the whole, I'd say I'm doing pretty good. I still work, I still exercise, and I still do just about everything I've always done. So before all that goes downhill, I'd better start crossing things off my to-do list.
Here's what we've done so far:
Bought some diapers (will need more)
Assembled our hand-me-down crib and disassembled the old bed in that room (thanks, D)
Accumulated a small collection of clothing and gifts
Bought a side table for the nursery
And for the things we haven't done, well I'm guessing there are hundreds. I don't think you're ever fully prepared, but it's nice to get a head start.

We went to town buying diapers and diapering supplies at Zoolikins |
There's the free mattress that I guess we can't use, and our lovely crib and owl table. The matching dresser will be here shortly. Everything else has to go.

The baby's highly organized clothing collection. |
How am I doing on timing? Ahead of the game, right on time, or cutting it a little close? I do best under pressure, so even if I don't make much progress in the coming few weeks, I'm sure it'll all get done somehow. I have looked at some ideas for a lamp, a rug, and some decorations, and I've looked at some fabric for the window valance, crib skirt, and pillow that I plan to sew with the help of my mom. So with that, I will arm myself with my credit card and make some progress on this here nursery.
Thanks for the invite to the new address- I like the new place! And as for timing- I think you're doing well! Those lil guys don't need much- but it sure is fun getting ready for them!!
