Everything is Awesome

We just had a great couple of days off around here, and we're all okay about getting back to the grind. Gavin had some sleeping woes during his trip to Oregon and also on his first night back at home. He'd wake up and be ready to party for a couple of hours in the middle of the night. Which then, of course, leads to us trying to come up with every reason imaginable for this behavior. We determined that either he's a) Getting a little older and not needing to go to bed so early, or b) Teething. It's always so convenient to blame things on teething. I never have any clue what's actually going on with him, but if I can blame it on teething, at least it makes me feel like there's a reason for it, and it gives me a sense of control.

Whatever. He's sleeping normal again, and we're just grateful for that. Tonight, after being at Dawn's all day, he's been a perfect delight. Walking everywhere, giggling, and saying a lot of words. Dylan brought home a Matchbox bus and tractor from Barrett Jackson, and he had one gripped in each hand for hours until we had to pry them from his grip at bath time. Usually he's a tired hot mess in the afternoon. I'm sure this won't last forever...until he catches his next cold, gets a new tooth, or something...but I'll take it while it lasts! We're keeping him up an hour later and hoping for full nights of sleep and decent naps.

As for the last couple of days, well I'll let the pictures tell the story. Adios friends. It's almost the weekend!
