We went to the Outlet Mall and Gavin rode a Jeep.
After that, we went over to the church where Tom has been busy all week preparing the land for the construction of the new building for the community food bank. The excavator came on the scene on Thursday, along with a dump truck, so we had to check it out.

Gavin played at the park, and then we went on a nature walk.

And after that, we relaxed for a hot second while our dinner heated up.
Guinea and Grandpa came home from their busy days just in time to witness Gavin in the prime of pre-bedtime animal-like behavior and then wish him goodnight. And that was that.
The next morning, we hung with G & G for a little while. Gavin and Grandpa had a jam session, and he also had a blast with this mostly deflated mylar "R" balloon from Mik's bridal shower.
Gavin and I headed toward uptown to take a walk and visit a few gift shops. We came out empty-handed, except for a little fire engine treat for Gavin. Not the person we had intended to buy gifts for, but I'm a pushover for affordable toys I know he'll love.
A little over-excited about the new shoes we picked up for him at the mall. He gets that from me. |

G & G were home by the afternoon and were so nice to give me a couple hours off and a massage. The place was called Rejuvenation...a super appropriate name, as I came out of there feeling like an entirely new person. It was so very nice. Just what the doctor ordered. Gavin clocked a few more minutes tackling the gold balloon, and now we're taking a quiet time in our room, a place where Gavin stays contained and manageable, before Cody and family come over for turkey burger night. And just like that, it'll be the weekend!
