We are glad that it’s Monday around here. We've got a few items on the agenda for fun and a few that are less-fun, but we are ready to get the week rolling. I'm starting to sound like a broken record when it comes to our weekends and Dylan's whereabouts, but it's looking like things may be turning around for us this week, so that is a welcome change.
Our family across the street really came through for Gavin and me on Sunday. We went over on Sunday morning where Gavin played happily and independently for a while after being a stinker in the morning, so that was a nice break. Then at night our plan was to pick up pizza on our way home from grabbing Dylan at the airport. So when those plans got scrapped, my brother picked up the pizza instead, and G and I went back over for a pizza party. The boys played outside, and it was nice for us to get out of this house without having to spend two hours in the car. The nicest thing of all was that my brother went out and picked up Dylan for me so that we didn’t have to keep Gavin up late. Yay for family!

Can the doctor see me (and my monkey) yet? |
Our Monday kicked off with a trip to the pediatric ophthalmologist where the MD confirmed that Gavin’s right eye intermittently wanders just a touch. NBD since he’s so little and it doesn’t seem severe. The fix for now is an hour a day with an eye patch and possible minor corrective surgery down the road if it gets any worse. I’m 100% certain he’ll throw a fit when we try to patch his eye, but we are just glad it’s something minor that can be corrected. We’ll check back in with the doc in a few months and go from there.
