Show Low in December

This weekend, Gavin and I made a short escape to my parents' cabin. It was the town's electric light parade and tree lighting weekend, and we were just excited to be in the chilly weather. No snow this time, but that's okay. Since Dylan was traveling this weekend, and I've almost gotten to the point where I can hardly stand weekends when he's gone because they're so boring and such hard work all at the same time, I figured it was best for us to get away.

It was well worth the trip! Gavin had a blast running around outside on the golf course and at the playground. He also enjoyed sleeping in Nonna and Papa's room, allowing me to skip the morning routine. (So nice!) We ate a couple meals out, hung around at the cabin, and spent some time playing outside. A very nice, low key time. I hadn't really gone away, even for the weekend, in a long time. I don't really see any vacations in my very near future, either. So, I was happy to leave everything behind and just relax and hang with my family for a little bit. Hope your weekend was nice, relaxing, and a little bit Christmasy!
