We rounded out the weekend in decent shape and accomplished our haircut mission. The boys both look sharp with their new 'dos, and Graham looks so much older, as expected. I'm okay with that. But let's rewind to Sunday. Graham woke up in just the nick of time to make it to the second service at church, so we did that. And that's about it. The rest of the day had no agenda, and besides going on a family walk, nothing really stands out from the day. Except, of course, some wild and out of character behavior from Gavin. He's turned into a real screamer, and he's been throwing toys and just all out of whack. And he does things like step on Goldfish crackers immediately after being scolded for stepping on Goldfish crackers.

Every time we go to church, we stop at the playground and then at this fountain afterward. |

Ate some sand. NBD. |
I actually stayed up and stressed about whether Gavin's behavior could be a medical condition. But I think it's actually just a phase. Or the kids at school are rubbing off on him. (He told us today that he threw chocolate milk at his friend at school. Except I don't believe him because I probably would have heard about that, and also where would he have gotten chocolate milk?) Or it could be that he's still waking up pre-5am, and we just don't know it since he doesn't come out of his room until his clock turns green at 6am, and so he's absurdly overtired. Tonight he had a great time playing with cousins, and it's fun to see him so spunky, but I'd like to see him be gentle and sweet again, too.
But, moving forward. Even though we don't clock into school or work on Mondays, it's never actually weekend-like. Somebody always has a doctor/dentist/eye appointment, or something, and Dylan gets back to being busy, too. I can usually sneak out for a morning class at the gym and leave the boys here so Graham can nap, but not today. You'd think I'd sacrifice going to the gym and plan my day around the nap(s), but I'm not that generous. So, the little ones and I had an early start. After the gym, it was off to the hair cuttery, and then Safeway.

Lucky for me, things went swimmingly at the Cut 'n Corral. I thought I might be pushing my luck bringing in two at once for a cut, with one being a first-timer and the other having a history of very emotional haircuts. |

Driving the fire engine with fresh 'dos and heading straight toward the aisle with the Hot Wheels. Because I promised. |
We did a quick check-in at home and then loaded up and headed to my parents' house. With Randy here working all day and Dylan out of the house, I honestly didn't know how I would get a shower unless I put Graham in there with me. I didn't want to do that. So, I got my shower over at my parents' house, and shortly thereafter the remainder of the crew arrived for Dylan and Kristin's birthday dinner. My cousin Kyle and his family are in town, so they joined us, too. The boys were bonkers and had so much fun, but we were one tired crew by the time we packed it up to go back home.
Which brings me to right now. I'm going to wrap this up because tomorrow starts my grind. This week, the grind consists of: Tuesday. And that is it. I think I can handle that!
