A weekend of G

We became very spoiled having Dylan around so much since the beginning of the year. We knew it, too. Saturday morning marked the end of that, at least for the summer. We do have some fun plans in the pipeline, so it's not all doom and gloom, just an adjustment, that is all. My hermity homebody ways have really come back to bite me now that he's on the road and I'm out of the loop on things to do and people to see when it's just G and me. That's okay though. So far I've enjoyed the downtime, and I'm sure we'll be in the swing of things soon.

Gavin has been back to his delightful ways and had an overall pretty good week. Our weekend was very low-key...a make-up swim lesson, our usual gym routine, time for cooking and baking, chores, early morning walks with the dogs, naps for both of us, a little shopping, treats on the patio at AJs and best of all, a visit with Gavin's Oregon Aunties when they passed through PHX on their way to Lake Powell. With Dylan gone, I've managed to finish watching Pitch Perfect over three installments, and I've maybe eaten ice cream for dinner once or twice.

Splish splash with his aunties!

I headed out one afternoon sure that I had left Gavin in safe hands.

It was back to the job for Monday, and I've got us all booked up with appointments and commitments for our Tuesday and Wednesday. Ugh. I'm already ready for the weekend!
