While we do not have any travel plans in the pipeline, we are headed into Thanksgiving week, which should prove to be fun and adventurous. For the last few months, after putting Gavin to bed, I've immediately gotten on my computer or busted out the xacto knife and rubber cement to work on homework stuff. I even stayed up until after 11 o'clock a couple of times working on this stuff, if you can believe that. It's the only Gavin-free time I have all day long to do this stuff, since Dylan has been busy with extra work at home, even when he's not traveling. He, too, finishes up his work for the day after saying goodnight to Gavin, and I can count on one hand the number of times the two of us have kicked back and watched TV in the last few months. We have taken some time to go on family adventures, and I'll never turn down a get-together with friends, but I haven't hung out with Dylan...or really hung out at my house at all in such a long time. Hanging out at home is not always a realistic expectation, but in the past, I've always made it work. At least at nighttime. So, with Thanksgiving on the way, D and I have crammed some extra work under our belts are both looking forward to a few laid-back days.
I am going to cram a bunch of school work and appointments into Tuesday while G is at Dawn's, and then we'll get Tess at the airport for the beginning of our holiday fun. D should make it home from the Dominican Republic at around the same time (fingers crossed). We just have to fit in swim lessons on Wednesday and some family pictures at some point, and we should be good to go! We are looking forward to relaxing at home, taking Gavin to do some fun things, Thanksgiving with family and some holiday baking and decorating. I'm sure to be back to report on how it goes!
Here are just a few shots from the past few days...

I had better make the most of this rare nap before we head out for the afternoon. See ya!
