Everything was status quo this week. In fact, the boys have been waking up in happy and cooperative moods, which has helped get our days off to a good start. It hasn't been all smiles and sunshine, but with a 1- and 3-year-old on my hands, I don't think that could ever be possible.
Dylan came back in town on Thursday and picked up the boys. Gavin got a mid-afternoon donut, and he was SO happy to see his daddy. I don't think I have ever heard him verbally express how much he missed his dad until this last trip.
We made a last minute decision to axe our camping trip this weekend and opted to stay home. We haven't taken our trailer out since the first weekend in August, but we'll get out there soon enough. Dylan hasn't been home in such a long time, and staying in sounded like a good way to kick off the year. I don't have anything exciting to report, but I still managed to take 26 pictures off my phone from the last few days.

He looks like a 6-year-old to me here

Graham is never happier than when he's cruising in his red car.

Discovering lots of new trails in the RZR

Does anybody else get completely drained by the very volatile emotions of a 3-year-old? #whendoesitend

Coach put goggles on him. He looks so funny!

Graham's new favorite thing is riding with his brother on the wiggle car.
On Friday night, I took Gavin on a date, just him and me. Our first stop was Paradise Bakery for dinner, where he was a perfect gentleman.

He asked, "Is this bowl fragile?"

Hugging his cup. Why? I don't know, but cute nonetheless.
Our next stop was ZooLights. We didn't get there until almost his bedtime, so he was pretty chill in the wagon the entire time. It was a cool display, as always, and we enjoyed it, but we made the loop very quickly.
It was a perfectly perfect night with this sweet boy.
As I write about what a sweet little boy Gavin is, he is rolling around on the floor in front of me and howling because he wants to sit on my lap. Which is something I can ignore for a pretty long time, but I'm about to lose my mind, so I'd better wrap this up and get things under control around here.
