We just got home from a sucessful two-part road trip with the babe. How nice it was to get out of the house for the weekend and to have so many extra hands to watch the babe in the few moments that he was actually not eating!
We started by taking a left at the top of the rim to visit the campground where our buddies had set up for the weekend. We did not spend the night, we just visited for a few hours and enjoyed the cool weather. It was SO refreshing. Aunt K took baby for most of the time, and I fit in a quick walk and a lot of relaxing. The Palmers and Jordans have gotten out in their RVs a bunch, but this was the first time I had been at their camp, and now I really have the RV bug. I know that's a huge bug to catch...but maybe some time in the future we will be able to join them in our own rig, too!

After that we headed due to east to Show Low to stay at the cabin with my parents. Saturday was fantastic because I fit in every important thing on my to-do list: go on a walk, take a nap, take some family pictures, and go out to eat with Dylan. My mom stayed with Gavin while Dylan and I stole a couple hours to go out to eat. Only the second time I've been out without Baby G, and the first time Dylan and I have gotten out together! We fit in another family walk on Sunday morning before heading down the hill and back home. Pathetically, our two long walks were some of the most physical activity I've had in a month. It felt so good to get moving and get some fresh air. And as long as I was pushing the baby and using the stroller like a walker, I could walk steadily and not terribly slow.

I'm getting antsy for my leg to heal and the weather to cool down. I'd give just about anything to jog my three mile lap on a cool day. I know that even if I
could run, I probably would be huffing and puffing big time with just one lap at this point, but a girl can dream.
We are gearing up for another busy week around here. Busy has taken on a whole new definition for me in the last four weeks, but I think I'm still managing to keep up okay. If only I could extend the day by a few hours to grab a little more shut-eye, then everything in my world would be A-okay!
