Baby G was a lion for Halloween this year. We decided on a lion because that's what was already hanging in his closet as a hand-me-down from our friends, the Johnsons. We have plenty of years ahead of us to put creative thought and effort into a Halloween costume, but G didn't express an opinion on what he wanted to be this year, so the lion he was. It was pretty cute, though, if you ask me.
In following tradition, we met at Jojo's and ate chili and took pictures before heading out to trick-or-treat. Gavin's cousins, Elmo and the Ninja Turtle, had a great time collecting treats, and we enjoyed watching them. But we headed home after a few houses, as our little lion man was quickly approaching his snoozing hour.
As you can see below, he quickly progressed from cranky time to sleepy time over the course of the evening. Gavin's big cousin, Hudson, did a great job of keeping a smile on his face despite the burden of holding a screaming baby. After overcoming a little bit of envy when his mom would hold the baby, ol' H has turned over a new leaf and has been very sweet and helpful with Gavin in the past few days. I love these boys so much!

Almost there. |

And he's done. |
And even more exciting than Halloween was that Gavin had his first time at daycare at The Village. I think he did pretty good, and he got a hefty bottle while he was there, which prepped me for a happy baby for running more errands while I was out. I will be clocking many, many, many hours of single parent time this month, and I will be so glad to have this one hour hands-free of baby (almost) every day. There's nothing quite as refreshing as getting out of the house, clearing my mind, and working on my fitness while G is in good hands just steps away.

Headed toward the intimate apparel? |

Pick up at the nursery, and I see a happy little man! |

Gavin had his big cousins with him at the gym to make sure he did okay in the nursery. |
And for other top pick photos from the past few days...

Big enough to sit up in the jogging stroller (for a walk)! |

Papa and Gavin are twins! |
 |
Horrible sleep hygiene...but he was so cold, and he looks like such a prince in his huge bed. |

I love my little buddy. |

Sitting on the patio, keeping warm. |
Happy Saturday morning to you! Whether you work at a job with odd hours or regular hours, or don't work at all, I still think Saturday morning is the best time of the week!
