It was a really nice weekend! Dylan beat us home on Friday afternoon, and he's been here ever since. I snuck out in the morning on Saturday, and then we took turns, and Dylan took his new bike for a test ride in the afternoon. By the evening, we were at the Scottsdale Quarter where we ate some treats, watched the live music, and met up with my parents. They took Gavin on a walk, and we were able to just kick it for a few minutes.

Gavin's signature high chair photo from breakfast Friday morning. My text to Dylan was "Please hurry home and tame this beast." |

Watching the dogs and playing with a car. His favorites. |
This morning, D & G drove me to the top of the preserve with my bike, and I had perhaps the most enjoyable ride ever. On the way home, they stopped at the Jordans' house, and Gavin and Luke had a little pajama playdate. Why we don't do that with them more often is what everyone is asking! In the afternoon we hit Chaparral Park for a family picnic. It was actually pretty cold outside, which was fine by me. I loved seeing my cousins and their kids, and Gavin had a blast on the swing, throwing balls, and pushing his red Jeep, of course.

Sunday Fun Day with the fam |
With the chill in the air, I feel perfectly justified cleaning out some items in the house and making way for Christmas decorations. I picked up my first set of Christmas cards from Costco today, and I'm reasonably happy with the results, so I'll be ordering the rest soon. The holiday season is underway. I love, love, love this time of year. And I'm not shunning Thanksgiving....November thru December is just one big bundle of joy to me!
