College basketball is not my thing. Neither is spring training, and in fact I can't wait for it to leave town and take all the traffic that makes my afternoon commute the pits with it. But even with my grinchy attitude, we've still had plenty going on to keep us busy. Too busy for me, in fact. I'm so happy to be spending a Friday night at home!
Tuesday was Lu'sday, and I hit the gym, caught up on some work, went to an appointment, and made it home in time to rendezvous with my boys and head back out for St. Patrick's Day happy hour. Never mind that we went to a Mexican food restaurant with only one other table full of patrons...it was the perfect setting for a rowdy toddler. We topped off the night by making the rounds at Target, and that was that. On Wednesday I took my first turn at joining Gavin in the pool for swim lessons. It went well...much better than I had projected. Next stop was a family trip to Costco, where we learned that even at 10am in the middle of the week, Costco is an annoyingly crowded place to be. I took care of some business at home, and then it was off to the trail for a 10 miler. My first time clipped into the pedals, and it was a huge success! Why did I wait so long?! Finally, I hit the shower and made my way south, which is not the direction one should head at 5pm. An hour and fifteen minutes later I joined a couple of my favorite ladies for dinner at Sauce. It had been months and months. Ridiculous. It was worth every minute of the drive, and then some, to see them and hear all the stories.

Thursday was back to the grind for G and me, and we met up with the family in the afternoon for our final hurrah at Greasewood. The big boys had fun showing Gavin the chicken coop, and Gavin always loves seeing the baby and Nonna and Papa, but his attitude was not what you'd call delightful, and so the fun was short-lived. We made it home, did the things that needed to be done, and collapsed into bed. Which brought us to one more day at the grind house and then back to home for some chicken on the grill. Dylan has March Madness on his agenda, and I see equal parts catching up and chilling out in my very near future. Looking forward to a fun weekend!
