Normal People Doing Normal Things

In many ways, this post is similar to the last. It's been a while, we haven't been up to too much, and things are good! I'll tell our story in photos.

Laying in the (real, live) grass at Kierland

Checking out the new construction down the road. This guy goes bonkers for backhoes, excavators, loaders, diggers, etc.

Catching caterpillars

The highlight of haircut day is always the train table.

A lollipop transformed this tantruming wild child into a perfect angel at his haircut.

A sort of backyard predicament.

Spectacles at Yogurtology.

G was so well-behaved for dinner at Flo's that we had to go out for yogurt, too.

Guinea and Grandpa came for a visit, and G LOVED playing the guitar with Grandpa.

Three generations of Miller guys...the youngest having the largest appetite.

Tandem slip 'n slide with his big cousin.

Taking a break at Kierland

Hitting The Horny Toad for strawberry shortcake.

Gavin has been fairly manageable at restaurants lately, so we've hit up a few of our favorite local spots. He continues a very pleasant streak, and we're hoping it sticks around for a long, long time because everyone is happier and more relaxed! He's talking up a storm and has moved on to speaking short sentences and saying words we didn't even teach him. His new favorite is "backhoe," but it comes out sounding like an inappropriate word for a rear-end body part. His obsession with cars, trucks, bikes, tractors, Rhinos, etc. is as strong as ever. He started physical therapy, but it seems it won't be a real permanent situation, thank goodness. He just needs a little help with his coordination and some new, heavier shoes to help him out.

Dylan spent an entire month only working one day. It's been great having him around and spending so much time together as a family. Gavin has loved all the time with his dad. Dylan is definitely "the fun one." But now he's in San Francisco for the weekend. No big deal, and there's always a silver lining to every situation. In this one, I'm happy to have a house free of the sound of basketball on TV and the smell of cooking meat for his low-carb diet. But I'll be even happier to have him home soon! Life is good, and I couldn't be more thankful!
