This big guy started Pre-K on Tuesday! It's anybody's guess if/where he'll start Kindergarten next year, but my guess is that he won't. He is still going to school on Tuesday and Thursday only, but if he seems like he'll go to kindergarten next year, then he'll take on a Monday thru Friday schedule in the spring. Right now, while we live 40 minutes outside of civilization, we won't entertain the idea of a full-time school schedule because that would make me crazier than I already am.

This is one of my favorite pictures of G. We can usually only get cheese-ball smiles out of him these days. |
Other than that, we've just been doing what we do. We've been unusually busy, but I see a calmer September headed our way. Busy can be good, though! We're getting caught up on appointments and to-dos and having some fun in-between. Dylan is embarking on a very busy couple of work weeks, but we (or at least I) get to join him for a couple days here and there to break it up a little bit. In the meantime, while I single-parent and go to work and pack and unpack us for short getaways, I may be short on fuel and time to get back on the blog. Which only guarantees a monster post toward the end of the month. But, for the sake of not falling too far behind, here are some pictures from our adventures last night!

Splashing bros! |

Both boys had more fun at the splash pad than I'd ever seen them have. We've hardly made it here this summer, but I guess we'll be back before it cools down. (We have plenty of time.) |

And then the Jordans showed up to join in on the fun! |

Gavin looks so big to me here! |

This hill is a kid magnet. |

Dinner at the splash pad! |
Okay, onto the next adventure, which involves a hotel, a swimming pool and one of my alma maters.
